On Thursday, JK Rowling, author of the Harrpy Potter Series, announced details surrounding her mysterious new site Pottermore.
The site will go live in October but Rowling implied that some may get to enter the site as early as July 31st. She wasn't direct in how or who the lucky souls will be BUT she dropped a clue for those gunning for early admittance, "Follow the Owl."
Our previous post consisted of educated guesses as to what pottermore.com might offer. Some suggestions included an online gaming site similar to "The World of Warcraft". This assumption seemed baseless as Rowling made no mention of gaming which undoubtedly would have been a large part of the sites development.
Instead, Rowling announced that the site will be an interactive reading experience that hasn't yet been experienced. Tall order if you ask me. In any case, Pottermore will include tons of additional information that didn't quite make the books plus exclusive audio books and the first ever, "Harry Potter ebook."
Pottermore, is a collaboration between Rowling and Sony, and seems to be living up to its billing. To get all the details from JK Rowling click here for the YouTube release.
