Former adult film star Jenna Jameson is being sued by an Illinois theater owner after she allegedly did not show up to promote her 2008 movie, “Zombie Strippers.”
The lawsuit was filed in Illinois’ DuPage County Circuit Court by theater owner Ted Bulthaup, who claims that Jameson did not make her paid scheduled appearances at the theater from March 24-26. According to reports,the seven page lawsuit accuses Jameson of “breach of her written contract to attend events scheduled for March 24-26.”
The lawsuit also claims that the theaters “sold hundreds of advance tickets” and “invested thousands of dollars in advertising (and) dedicated hundreds of employee hours to making the weekend’s events a success.”
Jameson’s agent sent a doctor’s note the day before the event, claiming Jameson had a “medical emergency,” according to the lawsuit. It then claims that “on the very evening (Jameson) was supposed to be at Hollywood’s theaters, she attended ‘Perez’s Blue Ball.’”, a birthday celebration for celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
Photos of Jameson attending the birthday bash showed up on Hilton’s website, the former porn goddess wearing a bright blue dress. The photo shows a fist bumping, afro wearing Hilton standing alongside Jameson who is seductively poised for the photo opportunity.
Hilton commented about the suit on his website:
“We're certainly sorry to hear that, but we can't say we 100% blame you Jenna! LOLz!”
Not convinced by her doctor’s note, Bulthaup told the Chicago Sun-Times, “She (Jameson) looked extremely happy, and was partying the night away in her blue dress."
